Then Samuel took a stone...calling the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. 1 Samuel 7:12

...and in giving it all you have...

Today at the gym was amazing.  Totally amazing!  This MONDAY is amazing...considering Mondays are usually my slow day.  Today I did 13:30 average mile on the elliptical.  Let me tell you why that is amazing.  It is amazing because 10 months ago it took me over 22 minutes to do a mile.  Plus, as I was watching all the numbers the elliptical shows me on the screen, at a few times I was doing a 12:00 minute mile.  I couldn't help but smile!  I also tread water for an hour today, 20 minutes of that hour without using my arms, and I have been increasing the quickness of the treads as well.  All that to say the benefits of keeping our bodies under subjection are worth the fight.  I am thankful for the endurance that God has enabled me to keep over these past 10 months.

You may have noticed a considerable increase in pounds lost on the weight loss progress bar to the right.  That is because a friend encouraged me to claim the pounds I had worked for last year.  The reading you are seeing is my progress since March 27, 2014 and not just since this year began.  What she said made sense.  "Ruth, you deserve to include those pounds.  It is where you began and it is reminder of what you, with God's help, can do."  BIG SMILE!
