Weigh Day: Beyond Measure Astonished

That moment when you look at your weight loss ticker on your blog and realize you are only 2 pounds away from meeting the goal that you had set for this year.  I am already praying about the number God would have me strive for as my next goal for the end of this year yet.  It is always a great feeling to accomplish more than you thought you could because God's mercies far outweigh (pun intended...hee hee) my sinful flesh.

This morning was weigh in for me and I am thankful that I maintained from last week.  I didn't have time to post last Friday on this blog, but I had a 4 pound loss for last week.  Why am I thankful?  Due to having a huge loss when I weighed in last week, I knew that a loss this week would be a challenge and because of hormones, I knew I would be retaining fluid this week.  In fact, I was sort of expecting a gain for this week.  I gave it my all in prayer, in workouts, and in staying within calorie boundaries so I know this is where God wanted me today.

Looking forward to this next week, anticipating perhaps reaching my goal for the year.

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
Mark 7:37
My version of this would be:  And Ruth was beyond measure astonished, saying, He has been a strength for her as she has made it this far in better choices for her physical being.
