I was thinking about tombstones and epitaphs on tombstones. Yes, I had to look up how to spell that word. Epitaph: an inscription on or at a tomb or a grave in memory of the one buried there . I am pretty sure mine would read She lost a lot of weight...a lot of times. Sad but true. I want so much for this to be the last time and I am wrapping my mind around the fact that this "last time" will need to last until I am perfected in heaven. I will need to keep doing this for the rest. of. my. life. This isn't just some fly by night journey that I can do away with once I reach "that goal," but rather a life change. I cannot go back to old habits and expect to stay at "that goal." The only way to succeed is to Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! I Chronicles 16:11
All that being said, here is my weigh in for this week. I was really hoping for some show of progress on the scale today. I was not expecting this when I entered my current weight on My Fitness Pal: "Ruth lost 3 lbs since her last weigh-in! Weighfaithful's lost 32 lbs so far." I was so sad this past week (see previous post) and knew I needed to just get back into a rigid routine of planning out the days meals the night before. Structure is my friend and helps me thrive. I needed this visual show of progress made.
