Thirteen down...

I am happy to report that I have lost another two pounds!  That makes for a total of 13 pounds gone in 4 weeks.  I have made it through the 4 week mark so this way of living/eating is becoming very normal.

Today I return to the podiatrist for a follow up visit.  Unfortunately, the pain has returned but I am able to keep it under control with icing my heels and with ibuprofen.  I am so ready to be rid of this extra weight so that my heels do not have to bear so much load.   I do know that having the pain is a constant reminder of why I am eating better and losing weight.  Reminds me of the verse in Psalms.  Psalm 51:3 "For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me."  I need to keep focused on how God wants me to live and to eat and remove the gluttony from my heart and mind.  Because of the pain I endure, the consequences of the sin of gluttony is ever before me.  The good news is that nothing is impossible.  Change takes time.  Together with God, I can do this.

I spent a day this past week going through all the containers of clothes I had stored away in the basement.  I am so blessed.  I have so many clothes for the next few sizes down that I won't need to buy clothes to fit as lose the weight.   For once I am glad I was a pack rat...TEE HEE
